The CSN Implementation Committee has created a number of resource documents to assist in the dissemination of the "Care and Referral of Adult Patient with Reduced Renal Function position paper (CSN September 2006).



Canadian Hypertension Education Program

Blood Borne Infections in Dialysis units
In 2005, the CSN struck an ad hoc committee to produce guidelines for prevention of blood borne infections in dialysis units. Click on the link to see the report. 

KDIGO Clinical Practice Guidelines for Hepatitis C in CKD
The KDIGO Clinical Practice Guidelines document entitled "Prevention, Diagnosis, Evaluation and Treatment of Hepatitis C in Chronic Kidney Disease" has been formally endorsed by the CSN following internal peer review and was recently published in a supplement to Kidney International.

"The protocols are intended to serve as a guide and cannot replace clinical judgement.  The recommendations included may be inappropriate for specific clinical situations or specific patients.  These protocols should be used in conjunction with usual Nephrology care."
